Wilderness Island Park

Summary:

Update from June 9

Organizations adopt sections of highway to keep them litter free for promotional consideration. This area is detailed in the 2012 Pompton Lakes Open Space & Recreation Plan.

Our goal is to coax the highest & best use of this land, to preserve & improve for future generations

Time has passed, and Mother Nature has reclaimed her space.

The plant inventory posted is long gone, and there is a modest amount of litter strewn at the street level.

Eagle Scout projects creating signage, benches, clearing pathways, or planting pollinators & edible plants can be scheduled.
